Text: 2Samuel 9:3 (KJV)
And
the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may shew the
kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son,
which is lame on his feet.
Have you noticed that help and assistance is no longer
valued? But the truth is that although being unthankful is part of the end-time
syndrome. But the scripture above is an example to emulate, the case of David
asking, is there not yet anyone left in the family line of Saul that he could
show the kindness of God to for his friend’s (Jonathan) sake? Wow, how nice of him. The truth is, a
show of affection is an honour and appreciation that we should give to someone
who has rendered any form of help or the other to us. 1Corinthians
10:24- No one should seek their own good, but the good of others. Most
of the times we want to live well, but this scripture is telling us to also
make an effort in helping others to live well.
Friends, do not join others to write off assistance because
the society is need of such rather be grateful and appreciate every show of help
from self and others. You can be that midwife that will assist others in their
birth, so, only position yourself at your duty post, so you can fulfill your laudable
mission. For instance, the King’s servant, Ziba was used as a vessel to fetch
for the lame son, Mephibosheth in that deserted place. Your location may be in
a remote place but when it is your due time, you will be located by the King
for your helps. I pray we enjoy the
grace of generosity in Jesus name
PRAYER
POINT:
1) Oh Lord, please
help us not to follow the trend of negative happenings in the world to be ungrateful
in Jesus name.
Action Quote: Remember, help can be triggered by a simple service today.
