Forget the former

 

Text: Luke 9:62 (KJV)

And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

Friends, the enemy has a way to hold one down by reminding you of those memories that are hurtful to us. But you can decide now not to cage yourself in those negative memories. This can be done by forgetting the former things, unfortunately, this is a very common mistake made by many. It says in Isaiah 43:18- Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. We often regret our past and refuse to forgive ourselves, but it is high time we look ahead and see our glorious future.

I encourage you not to hold on to those memories, but instead, look ahead. Philippians 3:13- Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.  Due to those past experiences, many of us have been crushed, which made us to make horrible decisions about life. Remember, it is never too late for a change. We must always remember we have God on our side, and He will never leave you nor forsake you, so walk with that confidence and dust those memories as God will heal you of the broken heart in Jesus name. You are in your new version for you have been crucified and risen with Jesus and satan cannot hold you down with your past again.

1.Father, may my new creature deal with my negative past as I walk into my glorious future in Jesus name.
