Trim off to Purge out

 

Text: John15:2 (KJV)

Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

It is established that we have a lot of glorious deposits, and they all have to be preserved since they did not come by our effort, but by the grace of God, but we as believers still have a part to play. The major duty of the vineyard dresser is to cut off the fruitless ones and to cleanse the fruit bearing fruits so that they can bear more fruits, but our only work as believers is to create an enabling atmosphere which will be used to sustain the finished work of good fruits in our lives so that it will not be taken away from us.

Interestingly, the scripture in Matthew 3:10- And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore, every tree which bringeth not good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. God gave us all these glorious gifts so that we can be productive, but the major limitation to this productivity is sin. God is so merciful that is why He said in Matthew 15:13- But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. So that means the weeds which we are dealing with shall be rooted up, and there will be no hindrance to our productivity.

PRAYER POINT:

1.      Father, purge off all obstacles around us that are growing like a weed to chock our life and productivity, in Jesus name.
