Text: Psalm 27:1 (KJV)
The Lord is my light and my
salvation: whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life: of whom
shall I be afraid.
It is important we define whom God is to us because that determines our practical experience in the journey of life. For David, he knew God as his light and strength, that gave him confidence in all his endeavours. There is a part way of darkness which God sees and redirects us to a part of light. Until we tread on the path of light, you will not see or encounter the purpose of your living. Therefore, we can see that light as we follow and walk with the father of light for with whom there is no variableness neither shadow of turning. 1John1:5b”….and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all.Remember, what you follow determines what follows you.
Interestingly, as the God of our
light, he shows us the pathway to navigate in our everyday life. He is the compass for our direction even in
difficult situations, he gives hope to a journey of hopelessness. Brethren, the
word of God is that lamp for ourleading and until our eyes are open in
revelation, we may not enjoy the inheritance in the word. Psalm 119:105 The word is a lamp unto my feet and a light, unto my
path. So, I encourage us to return back at his feet which is the source of our
strength today in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Friends, when did you see light in
the word of God you read daily?
PRAYER POINT:
Oh Lord open my eyes to the leading and dictates from the word of God as a template for fruitful living in Jesus name.
