Text: Revelation 4:11 (KJV)
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power:
for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure, they are and were
created.
The truth about life is that God
created every one of us with a purpose for His ultimate pleasure which many
find it difficult to fulfill as a trick of the devil. Certain times, we ask
ourselves, how do we honour God that we cannot see Him? It is not meant to be
so. We are meant to honour God with all that we have, from our bodies, to our
dressing, our thoughts, our speeches, etc. The creator of heaven and earth
deserves all of our worship. It says in Colossians1:16- For by him were all things created, that are
in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be
thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by
him, and for him.He truly deserves it, because He is so great and
lives forever and ever; He also knows the beginning from the end and vice
versa, because He is the beginning and the end, so give Him the honour that He
deserves.
Did you know that the bond between
God and you, gets stronger as you honour Him? This level of honouring I am
talking about is the one done publicly and secretly too. It is not the one done
for eye-service, but the sincere one and this should be the one we give to Him.
The truth is no matter how powerful someone might be (or they think they are),
we will all lay our crowns at God’s feet-because there is only one king in
heaven that lives and never dies. He alone is worthy of all glory, honour, and
praise. Acts
17:24- God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord
of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with handsRemember
to give honour to people who deserve it like our parents, both biological and
spiritual parents, to the elderly or those in authority, it all counts as an
honour to God, but of all God is the top on the list to receive honour and
nothing should replace Him in our lives. So,look round He is everywhere,
therefore honour Him in all in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
1. Father,
please whatever has replaced our complete reverence to God, reverse all, in
Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: If I may ask, how often do you bring honour to God? It should be “in all” and “with all”.
