Text: Joel 1:12 (KJV)
The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the
pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of
the field, are withered: because Joy is withered away from the sons of men.
Have you realized that Joy is
withering or fadingaway in our society of today? The reason for this is because
most people find Joy in worldly things, instead of in Jesus, which is very sad.
People cry mostly in secret, and fun in public but God sees all. We have a
great privilege in Him, but we can only experience this if we understand the
concept behind Joy's wisdom and learn how to activate Joy as a fruit of the Spirit. Joy is one of the fruits we bear as
we walk and are led by His spirit. It is a benefit we freely enjoy in Him and
we can all use in these current situations, pains, and afflictions of life.
The truth is that when your Joy is
attacked, every other thing begins to dry up, but that is not the same with
those who find Joy in God. Joy is a divine virtue, and we must learn to create
an environment where we can express our Joy in either singing, dancing, praying
in known or unknown tongues, or the word. Psalms 30:5b- Weeping may endure for night, but Joy comes in the morning.
This kind of Joy can only be experienced if you have access to Jesus. The
things of this world can wither and fail you, but when your source is from God,
it can never dry up or wither, so learn to tap from that great source of Joy.
We have to activate this ceaseless Joy even when there are no proofs or any
special event around us. Psalms 16:11- Thou
shall shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of Joy; at thy
right hand, there are pleasures for evermore.But do not watch it
wither or fade away; we must activate God’s presence to stop our Joy from
drying up. It is our new way of living because it is not based on the
happenings but on whom we carry and represent as to bear the fruits of the
Spirit because of this everlasting Joy we are experiencing in Him.
PRAYER POINT:
1. Father,
we declare that this is our morning of Joy, and every secret tear comes to an
end by your grace, in Jesus name.
