Text: Luke
9:62 (KJV)
And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough,
and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
Friends,
you can decide now to free yourself from hurtful memories, and this can be done
by forgetting the former things and not to dwell on them. Unfortunately, this
is a very common mistake made by many which we can change. It is never too
late. It says in Isaiah
43:18- Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
We often regret our past and refuse to forgive ourselves, but it is high time
we look ahead and see our glorious future. There is an assurance that there are
so many new and better things unfolding in our favor, so do not hold on to
those memories, but instead look ahead. Philippians 3:13- Brethren, I count not myself to have
apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind,
and reaching forth unto those things which are before.
Unfortunately,
many have been disappointed because of people’s behavior that led to horrible
decisions about life. But we can act otherwise even as human as we have God on
our side and He has promised never to leave nor forsake us, so let’s walk with
that confidence. Just dust those negative memories of yours and move on. The
truth is that it can be difficult, but just trust God to heal you of that broken
heart. Always remember that you are new in Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:17- Therefore if any man be in
Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things
are become new. Do not forget that we are crucified with Christ, that
old person is buried with Christ on the cross. Remember, you are living by
faith in Christ, so don’t allow Satan mess you up as it is a worthless and good for nothing entity. Also,
remember that the bible which is God’s words is there to help us in Jesus name.
PRAYER
