The Beauty in the Builder

 

Text: 1 Peter 2:6-7 (KJV)

Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold I lay in Sion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner.

The truth about life is that we do not see or accept the beauty of any productat first sight. We usually and quickly condemn the new. In our text of today, the stone which the builders rejected ended up becoming the chief cornerstone because the beauty was not visible at that initial time. The same goes for gold, it usually does not look beautiful when it comes out from the mine, but processesbringsbeauty and value out. Frankly speaking, it is normal to get rejected, but it is not good to dwell on that rejection because there is a hidden beauty that is about to show forth, so embrace it. Psalms 118:22- The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner. We as God’s children are chosen and elected by Him and are precious to Him too, so I urge you not to get frustrated or depressed because of the world’s rejection. We need to change our mindset, as to see the hidden gift and content that we carry.

The question is who is the cornerstone or foundation stone of your building? The amazing part is that Christ is the cornerstone of our building as God’s children, so stay put. He was also rejected at the beginning, but today we cannot do or live without Him; so I urge you not to feel ashamed when the world rejects you, but instead be happy, because they have not seen your hidden gift. But keep up because your deserved standing ovation will soon manifest to glorify God. John 1:3- All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. I tell you, you can no longer suffer rejection or disapproval, because you have Him that is reliable. So, stay plugged to this great cornerstone in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.      Father, help us to put our firm foundation on God and not on our own agenda as to avoid rejection, in Jesus name.
