Text: 1 Peter 2:24(NIV)
“He
himself bore our sins’” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins
and live for righteousness, “by wounds you have been healed”
Congratulations, it is GOOD FRIDAY.
We are in an
important season in our belief as Christians that is the GOOD FRIDAY. This is the
crucifixion of Christ that adds to our daily living. It is a memorable time in
which we celebrate the suffering and the death of Jesus on the cross though a
dark day but it brought about goodness and victories to us. We also call it -
The Holy Friday. Friends, Jesus
willingly suffered and died for man for the forgiveness of our sin which gave
us access to the benefits we enjoy in this kingdom. It is a Good Friday because
it brought about the mysteries in the goodnews we carry and then, the joy of
his resurrection journey began from the cross experience, so, we must
appreciate all. His willingness to the
CROSS took our divine punishment for the sin of the whole world. Colossians 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances
that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way,
nailing it to His cross. But, because of the joy set before us Jesus
endured the suffering on the cross that brought salvation to mankind. And today
the CROSS is an INPUT and not a minus because of His genuine love.
Amazingly, this dark day became good because God’s punishment
for our sin was exchanged to mercy. Remember, Christ died also for the ungodly
in which God demonstrates his love for humanity and now we have been reconciled
back to God. He bore our sins so we can live for righteousness. This is the
finished work on the cross and also we are healed by the cross. I pray we shall
experience this in all areas of our lives in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
1.Father, thank you for the freedom brought by the cross and the
blotting out of the handwriting that is against us in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Friends, enjoy the input of the CROSS as your daily inheritance.
