Text: John 19:30(KJV)
“When
Jesus, therefore had received the vinegar, he said, it is finished and he bowed
his head, and gave up the ghost”.
At the CROSS
Jesus spoke some parting words which are his last words. And “it is finished”
is parts of the last words of Jesus which has a lot of significance to us as
believers. It means the very reason for the Jesus going to cross has been
accomplished and task sealed to fulfill purpose according to the master's assignment.
Therefore, we need to reflect on this with the mind that, the shame is over, and
the power of sin is broken by His covenant.
It is a statement of mission accomplished and it is done as to fulfill
scriptures. All the suffering Jesus went is complete as all this is to accomplish
his vision on earth and have glorified the master. The business of the master is a done
deal. John17:4 I
have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work “which thou gavest
me to do. It was at this point he bowed and gave up the ghost in
agreement with the master mandate. He did not live any stone unturned rather
completed all that is committed which is the ultimate fulfillment of scriptures.
The receiving of vinegar was the peak of the sacrifice as he released his
spirit at this point.
Interestingly, the suffering and the power over the sinful
nature of man is finished at the cross but we need a revelation of the finished
to be able to walk into the reality. He has completely yielded his life as a
ransom for the remission of man’s sin. The battle over the enemy concerning our
destiny is finished. I pray we shall experience this in reality over all areas
of our lives in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
1.Father we appreciate you because the power of sin is over
and we can now triumph in victory in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Friends, every
suffering has an expiring date of fulfillment, so don’t exit half way.
