Fervent Spirit or nothing

 

Text: Romans 12:11 (KJV)

Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord.

As children of God with a mandate, there is one thing we must remember and that is, we need to run this race of life with an irresistible passion.  In this era, we need a burning fire for Christ as to stand the compromises in faith. The fact still remains that we live in a perverse world, but we as believers need not to burn out the fire in us.  Our spirit has to boil with irresistible passion for the things of God and this can be activated by constant renewal of our minds with the WORD OF GOD. The truth is, fire works best in a hot environment and we know that God has ignited fire in us, so I will encourage you to create an atmosphere which burns in your heart. Definitely, there will be a point when you have to set yourself aflame with the word. We must always remember, God is set to do so much with us as His chosen and elect, but we must also grow in our passion for Him too. It may seem as if all your labour is in vain but remember what the scripture says in 1 Corinthians 15:58- Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. So continue to increase your stakes of commitment to God.

Therefore, my brothers and sisters, now is the time to intensify our zeal and passion for the business of the things of God. We must remember, time is very short and the devil is working to and fro looking for whom to devour, so as soldiers of Christ we cannot relax and watch events or slack of or even become lukewarm, but instead we should ignite more fire so as to impact and spread the gospel to all the faces of the earth. Always remember what the scriptures say in Philippians 4:13-I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Because we can still do a lot of great things even in the short period of time that we have, so I will encourage us again to get involved in kingdom advancement because it is time to launch out in Jesus name.
