Heartfelt search of God

 

Text: Jeremiah 29:13 (KJV)

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

As true children of God, there is always a right way to seek and find God and this is done by sincerity of heart with the involvement of your whole heart and soul. Our text of today tell us to seek for God with our total heart and not with a divided mind as many people do. We need to aspire for this kind of leading because it is usually peaceful and fruitful. One unique thing about seeking God is that it has to be done in spirit and in truth. The amazing part is that, the God we serve is not just a prayer-answering God, but also a question-answering God. Isn’t that amazing? Psalms 34:10- The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. Also see Matthew 7:7- The most important thing is to open your hearts to Him and never feel like it is too late to seek for His leading because no matter how far you have gone on that wrong journey, you can still find your way back by following His leading.

God is so wonderful because He gave us tips on how to get His leading through the bible. In Matthew 6:33- But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. We can see that we seeking Him first speeds up our answers, so seek Him today. We must remember, in order to seek and activate His leading, we must allow or do the following: a) Learn to do it in God’s way. b) We must know God's word and obey His instructions. c) We must have a continuous fellowship with the Holy Spirit because He reveals the mysteries of His leading. So I urge you to seek for His leading daily and see Him lead you to the place you never expected to be in. This will be your portion, in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.Oh Lord, please help us to hunger for Your word and to be willing to wait, so as to obey your instructions, in Jesus name
