The Prize of God's high calling

 Text: Philippians 3:14 (KJV)

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Beloved, there is no prize in a race withoutone striving to achieve a goal. There isan ultimatemarkdefined for the prize ahead.You cannot get use to the race but rather press again and not to think you have arrived.There is a new height of excellence from time to time that is why you should not slow down.  The more you know him, the more you encounter the prize of His high calling by sacrifice.There is runner’s satisfaction if we endthe race well without defaulting the rules of the game. We need to forget the achievement of the now as to see beyond the barrier. God’s calling is not to despise us but to elevate us.  Learn to press into a new level of knowledge of the scripture if we must win the prize.

Our desire should be 2 Timothy 4:7- I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.  Do not count yourself as an expert but we need to keep our eyes on the goal, for the prize attached is higher than our current status. We must run hard and right to finish well as to receive the applause. Therefore, let us fix our thought on Jesus, he is the centerpiece of everything we can achieve in any field.

1. Father, take us to a place of understanding, so we can see beyond the boundaries and limitations for our destiny, in Jesus name.
