Earnestly following Jesus

Text: Mathew 8:19 (KJV)

A certain scribe came, and said unto him, Master, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.

Do you know many are with the Master very closely but are not earnestly following his ways based on their exposures? We need to walk with the comforter the Holy Spirit in a time like this. Let us allow him to lead us because he knows the way out of that wilderness today. John14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no one comes to the father but by me.  We need to be resolute about our following Jesus in the path He has set for us because the alternative is very expensive in all ramifications. Friends, many belivers have different choices and reasons to make as they Christ, so if you study the men of old you will see their experiences. Like Daniel 1:8 But Daniel purposes in his heart that he would not defile himself with portion of the kings meat, nor with the wine which he drank: ...Our kingdom service requires alot of determination so we can choose this day who to sevice.   We need to get to the point of being steadfastly minded if we must follow Jesus.  There are several things that are out there to distract us. Let us choose our path of righteousness today and you will be satisfied tomorrow.

Interesting, we should put our hands in his hands as to allow him lead aright. This decision came to the scribe suddenly without consideration according ro our text today. . Remember, he know that Jesus has no place to lay his head but he still took that decision to be with the Master. Maybe he has heard about all the miracles Jesus has wrought in the city. But Christ has no place for us to lay our head but he still choose Jesus. Can you earnestly think deep to take this singularly step of faith and life changing adventure of destiny by following Jesus and dropping all? It requires our steadfastly following after the Master. Ruth did it and forsake even Orpah to follow his purpose. We can see the end result of that particular decision.. The question is can you involve the master wheresoever you are going today?  i encourage us to be steadfast, unmovable in our believe as we know that our labour is not in vain in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINTS: 

1. Oh Lord, may we receive the grace to follow Jesus as the only way to our glorious destiny in Jesus name.

2. Father, help us to make your God my God in whatsoever situation we found ourselves in Jesus name.
