A Worthy Portion.

Text: 1Samual 1:5 (KJV)

But unto Hannah he gave a worthy portion: for he loved Hannah: but the Lord had shut up her womb.

There is a worthy portion that we can all crave for that can settle every other yearning and desires. Hannah received an expression of a worthy portion just like Joseph was loved by his father and was given a coat of many colours but his brethren envied him.  There is an expression of deep love from the husband which has some limits.  And this is a choicest piece of gift he can offer her.  But her pain did not end. Like Hannah, she was loved by her husband even with the good rewards from him, it did not remove her reproach of childlessness even though the husband had a special affection for her more than the rest of the family members. This attracted even more adversities. John3:16 For God so love the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. There is this 'BUT' that cannot be wiped away by the love of man. It takes divinity to heal the wounds in our want.  There could be one thing the enemy is holding that makes us to be sad. His love was special and the adversary provoked her. But he gave her A LOVE PORTION and still he lacks something which is an expression of his special generosity. But our God has the ultimate gift that can settle all.

Interestingly, we should form the habit of genuine worship before the Lord. The choicest of all the gifts did not take away this reproach. The heart was still grived. The husband even assuring her that he is better than ten sons did not move her. Every one is dealing with a" but" and it takes divinity to end such a reproach.  Beloved, but as soon as she found grace in the sight of the Lord, her countenance changed. Our desire should be that the Lord will remember and visit us for a special miracle concerning that specific issue. We shall receive an honourable gift this season that will end that shame in Jesus name. Let us carry a chearful disposition as we continue in prayers in Jesus name 

PRAYER POINTS: 

1. Father, help us to stand strong as to over power the adversity within in Jesus name.

2. Oh Lord, the same way you helped Hannah to continue in prayers, may we be remembered by the Lord in Jesus name.
