Transform your Mindset

 

Text: Romans 12:2 (KJV)

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Have you realized that the word of God comes to reform and transform our minds?  Most of the time, it is because of our wrong mindset that we did not accept God’s perfect will. We need to transform our minds from within if it must yield the expected results. The truth is most of us needs to step up our game as to achieve those giant milestones. We need to transform the way we think by developing a progressive mindshift and not static mindset, and a renewal of our minds can only do this. The truth is the majority of us tend to follow the pattern of this world and not the SCRIPTURAL PATTERN. God help us. We need to exchange our mindset with the mind of God through the scriptures. In our text of today, it tells us not to follow the behaviours and customs of this world, but instead, we should let God change or transform the way we think, and by doing so, we will end up doing things that please God. Psalms 51:10 - Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Our action of letting God clean us of our old and unacceptable way leads to us getting a new heart and spirit which leads to advancement. Wow!!! This new personality makes us follow God’s perfect will for our life. This is the right time to start cleaning up ourselves as to carry heavenly ideas in Jesus name. 

Although God has transformed us, we still need to have a constant renewal of our minds, and this can be done by our continuous study, meditation and hearing of the Word of God. It says in Romans 10:17- So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. We need to feed on the Word of God on a daily basis and not get use to His statements and voices. This helps us and we end up being spiritually fat, which is a good one because we will never get influenced by the world’s pattern anymore. This transformation usually starts from our thoughts, but eventually, finds expression physically, so be patient because God’s will is definitely good, pleasing and perfect. Always remember, God has sent the Holy Spirit as a helper, so you are not alone because he has transformed our thoughts. Just keep your heart fixed on Him in Jesus name. 

PRAYER POINTS: 

1. Father, circumcise and subject my mind to positive thoughts that will help my life and society in Jesus name.

2. Father, may I experience a shift in my attitude to the transforming word of God in Jesus name.
