Text: Romans 8:24 (KJV)
For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
One thing many of us are afraid of is the future because of ignorance of our inheritances. The good news is God is already in our future. We ask ourselves this question time and time again, “what does the future have in store for us?” This thought has brought a lot of doubt, unbelief, and hopelessness in our hearts, but the truth is when we accept Jesus as our Lord and personal Saviour, we were given this beautiful confidence to anchor our hope. Hope makes you dream into your tomorrow and not living without a future. It is not just an imagination rather a realistic thought. James 1:17- Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. Hope is quite similar to faith because you have not seen it, but you anxiously wait for the evidence to show by believing on the spoken word of the covenant. The main difference between these two is that in faith, you are not anxious; you have full confidence in who you have faith in, which is God and His word. Can you imagine that very difficult expectation? But Hope tells us it will still happen. Don’t start fixing how that concern will come because the template of your future and hope are in God. Just take it as simple as that. When you combine hope with faith, it even makes your Christian experience more beautiful, and in turn, you will increase in your faith in Christ.
Interestingly, this gift of hope is a great one because it does not look at the news of the happenings of now, but it focuses on the future which is beyond the present circumstances which is given to us as a gift. In our world of today, many people are losing hope without realizing that our salvation came to us by hope, so we should not get tensed up, but instead, be rest assured in God’s promises to you. Always remember, your hope is powered by the Holy Spirit, and that is because you carry God the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit which makes us to be joyful. Romans 15:13- Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. I urge you to remember that you carry God in your heart, and He is your Hope, so be rest assured in Him and relax for your future is sure.
PRAYER POINTS:

Oh Lord, may our hope in you take away distractions as to anchor the unseen hope in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Remember, you cannot focus on the circumstance surrounding us if you claim to have hope.
