Quicken those gifts.

 

Text: 2 Timothy 1:6(KJV)

Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

We have been thought numerous times that we have a gift in us, but it is our own free will to either stir it up or quench it. The truth is, God endowed every one of us with a special gift, but we need to provoke it for use (it is like putting little effort into a low flame to make it into a big fire that can burn anything). The bad news is that many are so “TALENTED BUT NOT IN USE.” Many at times, we see that a lot of people have left their gift dormant and inactive, while some have forgotten about it because of the troubles of life, but the good news is, that special gift in you is getting stirred up today, and it will start to manifest, in Jesus name. Proverbs 18:16 - A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men. We must remember, there is no qualification for those gifts; it is God that qualifies us, so do not waste it, but instead, sharpen it. Do not allow the pressures of life to weigh down those gifts as it is to serve God and humanity. Amazingly, there are gifts that have been transferred (like it is genetic). In 2 Timothy 1:5 - When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also. It is already in your gene; all you just need to do is to stir and implement it.

The question is, how can those gifts be stirred up or activated? The most important way is, through the Holy Spirit. He can activate these gifts, but we need to allow Him and have a fellowship with Him. The truth is, fellowship with the Holy Spirit can trigger other gifts that were unknown to you. 1 Thessalonians 5:19- Quench not the Spirit. Sometimes, people tend to quench or suppress the Spirit’s help, but instead, be bold and confident in His help.  Another way is through the laying of hands and prayers of people that are ahead of us. Their effort can also trigger those gifts, but although they have provoked those gifts, we still need to put effort to activate and put them to use completely. Remember, these gifts are so unique, so that means you are not a photocopy, but instead, an original, so do not try to copy someone’s gift. Remember, you can copy scriptures and pattern but you can’t copy auction. I pray God will help us, in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINTS:

1.Father, I ask for the grace to identify my gifts that have been covered, so as to start manifesting them again, in Jesus name.

2. Oh Lord, may every generational gift upon my life be stirred up, so that it will no longer be dormant, in Jesus name.

3.Father, I ask for grace so that the Spirit of God in me will not be quenched with any negative attitude, in Jesus name.
