Heart to Heart Worship

 

Wext: Psalms 103:1-2 (KJV)

1 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.

There is a deep realm of worship that comes as a result of thoughtful revelation. You need to think well as to thank well as it originates from the soul. People think there is nothing to thank God for, and that is because they have not thought of God's goodness in their lives. In our scripture above, David counted all the blessings God has done for him, and he instructed his soul also to bless God. He was so thankful to the point that his body could not be enough, and he commanded his soul to also bless God. Some of us will say “his soul”, but yes “his soul”. Most of us are so busy that even our soul is also busy with the concerns of life, but we must learn to command our soul to bless God too. That shows blessing and thanking God from the innermost heart. Also, when we worship and praise God deeply, ideas start rolling in from the realm.

The kind of thanksgiving we give to God needs to change. We need to worship and bless God with our all, as said in our text above, so we should not exempt our souls. Friends, our heart must be engaged in our worship to God. Always remember, God appreciates genuine and heart to heart worship, and that is what we should give to Him. 2 Corinthians 9:7b- for God loveth a cheerful giver. John 4:24- God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Our mouths and lives has been filled with good things, so we are not meant to keep our mouths shut, instead, we are meant to move to another level of intimate worship as an act of reverence and honour to God in JESUS NAME.

PRAYER POINTS: 

1)Father, please help us to move into the realm of heart to heart worship as an honour to this good God in Jesus name. 

2.Lord, please take us to the point of brokenness at the altar of worship, in Jesus name.
