Text: Luke
3:21 (KJV)
Now when all the people were baptized, it came to
pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened.
Life tends to make people to choose between a closed
heaven and an open heaven. There is always a choice to make at each point in
our journey in life. The truth is, people, tend to choose which one they want
and that all depends on their attitude towards life. Some people make decisions
that leave them with a closed heaven, while some chose an open heaven. The scripture above reminds us clearly that
there are certain things that can keep us in constant flow from heaven. An open
heaven is one where prayers are answered, and that is what believers aim for.
We can all have access to Heaven, but it is our decision that determines if we
will get to draw from an open or a closed heaven. There are some attitudes that
can hinder us from receiving. For one to experience open heaven, he/she must be
influenced by the Spirit of God because God’s spirit usually makes one to enjoy
this realm of constant access. Amazingly, when there is an open heaven, there
is no emptiness or dryness but rather freshness of His spirit in us. I tell
you, every source you will ever need is already provided, so open your heaven
as we dust our prayer altars.
When the heaven is open over a person, there is always a
blessing that descends like in the case of Jesus when He was baptized, and a
dove descended. John1:32-
And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit
descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. Any one of us can have access to this
open heaven, but one of the keys to ceaseless open heaven is prayers. 1 Thessalonians 5:17- Pray without ceasing. I tell you, a ceaseless prayer line
makes one receive the flow and signal from God and that in turn will activate
the spirit of grace and supplication. Beloved, every one of us can be connected
to this access; we just need to pray and desire it at all times.
PRAYER POINTS:
1.Oh Lord, please help us not to be weary but may our altar
continue to burn with fresh fire in this covenant prayer adventure, in Jesus
name.
2. Father, may the Holy Ghost descend upon us so as we can
pray as we ought to, in Jesus name.
