Text: Hebrews
11:1(KJV)
Now faith
is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Assume,
someone who you believe and trust so much made a promise to you, how do you
usually feel? I know since it is someone you trust, you will just believe and
immediately get so excited. You did all of this without any physical evidence because
you have faith you will receive what has been promised to you. The reason why
you believed that promise is because you know that particular person has built
integrity and you have no doubt at all. Our text of today defined faith to us,
as hoping without any evidence seen. This makes us to understand that faith
gives us divine guarantee and confirmation of what you have not seen. It is our
evidence to prove what is still unseen. Faith is like our tangible proof that
what we are expecting will happen with assurance. The truth is, while in the
point of having faith, we usually just wait and keep expecting that the time
for the promises to be fulfill is very close. We do this because we have
developed trust and firm confidence in the person who we have faith in which is
God. We do this despite the situation we find ourselves. Hebrews 11:6- But without faith it is impossible to please him: for
he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of
them that diligently seek him. Remember, waiting does not
diminish any man. The truth is, we should be fully persuaded that what God has
said it is settled.
The
book of Hebrews chapter 11 give us a lot of example of people who practiced
faith and the reward which they received from God. I know in the point of
having faith, the trials which we are facing will seem harder, but we need to
see those short-lived troubles with the eyes of faith. We should therefore
build our confidence in God based on the integrity of His word, so as to
experience the magnitude of His works. We should always remember to focus on
things that are not seen because the things seen are always temporal but the
unseen are eternal. Like it says in 2 Corinthians 4:18- While we look not
at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the
things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are
eternal. So therefore, activate your faith today and
fly into your future glory.

1.
Father, help me to always believe on what You have said, even when I am facing
contrary wind and circumstances, in Jesus name.
2.
Oh Lord, may I see the light of the unseen reality of my inheritance in Christ,
in Jesus name.
