Text: Philippians 4:4, 6(KJV)
4- Rejoice in the Lord always:
and again I say Rejoice.
6- Be careful for nothing; but in
everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be
made known unto God.
In times like this, people tend to find it much easier to grumble, complain, and worry all on a daily basis, but it is not meant to be like that. We are encouraged to rejoice in the Lord our God again and again. The birth of Jesus brought to mankind the package of rejoicing which is not based on happenings which has made a lot of people to lose out. We are meant to be thankful and rejoice about life for the gift of baby Jesus. It is always said, “If you cannot think, you cannot thank”. We are meant to have our hearts fixed on the benefits of the birth of Jesus which is one of the core ethics of our Christian faith. We should learn to count our blessings one by one and not generalizing them like we always do. If you can think which is difficult to do, stop for a second to think about the great works God has done in your life and our divine inheritance which is far beyond physical endowment in our faith. We should always be grateful and rejoice because that is all God wants from us by sending and giving His son in the bodily form. Philippians 3:1- Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe. Let us remember to be glad continually, and by doing this, it becomes a lifestyle to fulfill the purpose of His birth.
This attitude of rejoicing is a
precious gift that God has given to us, so we should not shut that door in our
lives, but instead embrace it with high esteem. So many things have happened
without our knowledge, it all happened behind the scene, but we should be happy
and rejoice in Him who is waving away those negative happenings. If we take a
moment to think about the mind-blowing things He has done for us through Christ,
we will rejoice even more. The amazing part is no matter the things that are
not working currently; there are still quite a number of them He has perfected,
so we should be sincere to wear the face of rejoicing. Romans
12:12- Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in
prayers. Again, it
says in 1Thessalonians 5:16- Rejoice evermore. And
also in 1Thessalonians 5:18- In everything give thanks:
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Also
remember, God’s presence around means you will never pass through those
concerns alone because he is in that matter, so rejoice my brothers and sisters
because Jesus did it all. GRUMBLE NO MORE BUT REJOICE ALWAYS TO ATTRACT GOOD.
PRAYER
POINTS:
1. Oh Lord, may I be addicted to Joy and rejoicing as it
is my divine inheritance for his birth to the point that it becomes a lifestyle,
in Jesus name.
2. Help me Lord to obey this command of rejoicing again
and again, so that it flows to those around me as a gift to others, in Jesus
name.
ACTION QUOTE: Can you see those promises as tangible reasons
to rejoice in the birth of our saviour Jesus?
