Text: Psalm 27:1 (KJV)
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I
fear? the Lord is
the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
We
must have noticed that the earth has been bathed with darkness, and thankfully
by the grace of God, we are the light because we carry light in us. John 8:12- Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world:
he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of
life. The light in us has been given to us through Christ Jesus,
and it can swallow every kind of fear and darkness. The fact that we carry
light, has given us a lot of confidence to go through any thick darkness.
The amazing part of us being the light is that no matter the volume or
brightness of light, the fact that we have it, we have the power to overcome
darkness. The issue is that many of us are not conscious of the light that we
carry, and this results in us been worn out and scared
when challenges come, but we are meant to embrace that light.
Interestingly, not only does this light bring
confidence to walk in darkness and challenges, but it also reflects our beauty.
Due to the fact that it illuminates in darkness, it brings warmth to our lives,
and that in turn, reflects our beauty. This light in us also brings direction
to those closed pathways, and we end up enjoying the victory. Psalm 119:105- Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my
path. We can enjoy more benefits of this light when we meditate
on His word daily. So I urge you to stop being scared of the future because the
light in you can banish even the darkness of the future, so rejoice.
PRAYER POINTS:
1.
Father, may your light overshadow every trace
of darkness that has kept us at one spot, in Jesus name.
2.
Father, please help us to always hold unto
God as our stronghold in faces of oppositions that comes as darkness, in Jesus
name.
ACTION QUOTE: You can activate that level of light that the enemy cannot
stare at any longer.
