Text: Isaiah
40:3 (KJV)
The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness,
Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our
God.
When you heard today’s topic, who in the bible came to
your mind? If your response is John the Baptist, then we are on the right chain
of thought. We are told in our bible that John the Baptist was a voice in the
wilderness and He always said this repeatedly “repent for the kingdom of God is
at hand”, but the truth is he is not the only voice in the wilderness, you and
I are also voices, and our wilderness is that place where we are with a need to
fill in our vicinity. Do you know you are A SENT VOICE and not A CROWD VOICE?
God has given us a bold voice, and we are meant to use it
to fulfill our God-given assignment and to correct things positively. 2 Timothy 1:7- For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of
power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
We are reminded never to feel intimidated when our voice may
seem low or alone, because we are made in God’s image and we have a voice that
can move mountains. Mark
11:23- For verily I say unto you, That whosoever
shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea;
and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he
saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. So do not give up. Let us learn to
overlook people’s distractions and remain focus as a voice knowing that your
mandate is from God. Also you are still a voice speaking, but because it is in
a choked atmosphere, that is why it is not heard clearly. Remember, you are
made differently, and you are given the assignment to fulfill God’s agenda, so
be confident in the voice given to you by God in that environment as you are on
an assignment.
PRAYER POINTS:
1.
Father,
may my mouth not be shut as to fulfill my purpose despite the choked atmosphere,
in Jesus name.
2.
Oh
Lord, please help me to deliver your assignment upon my destiny, in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE:
Is your voice pleasing man or God?
