Strength from God’s Word

Text: Philippians 4:13-14(KJV)

I can do all things through Christ, which strengtheneth me. Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.

When we wake up, we really cannot tell how the day will go, isn’t that so? Even if you have an agenda for that day, you do not know if your plan or agenda will be successful or not, that is why we can say that outside Christ, there is no reality or no life. We can also see a confirmation in Matthew 4:4- But he answered and said, it is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. The truth is, as humans, we have to be strong even when we are in difficult circumstances, but that can only be possible and easy if we depend on Christ. Although some situations which we face can be tough to handle, we should think of it as the perfect time to turn to the bible, which is God’s word for strength. The fact still remains that it is God who makes us who we are, so we need to rely on His word for the real energy to pull through those difficult moments. We need to train ourselves to overcome those difficult times by infusing the explosive power of the word into our lives. From the text of today, we can see that Christ has empowered us with inner strength, and this is expressed outwardly, so as to regain energy in times of weakness; so in summary, we are self-sufficient in Christ as our source of energy, and without him, we cannot do anything.

Frankly speaking, what really keeps us strengthened in Christ is the strength of faith, which is completely different from physical strength. It literally makes us remain steadfast in Him, even when hard times come. Isaiah 41:10- Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. The truth is many things can fail, but God's strength never fails; that is why we must anchor our hearts in His words. We should always know that God has our back. Psalms 121:1- I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. We must never forget to draw strength from His words because it is full of encouraging and inspiring words, and it even has solutions to our problems. It is never too late, you can start now, and as you do so, you will have unspeakable peace. I pray God will help you in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINTS:

1.Father, please grant more grace upon us because on our own, we can do nothing, but with Christ, we can do valiantly, in Jesus name.

2.Father, please heal every emotional concern and stress in our lives, as You cloth us with strength and dignity to laugh at last, in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE: Have you realized, what pulled you this far in your journey, was not your strength, but GOD?
