Except the Lord build.
Text: Psalms 127:1 (KJV)
Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that
build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
Our text above has literally explained everything
we will be discussing today, but I will love to ask us two questions. The first
one is, have you ever realized, you have a building? The second question is,
who is your builder? Take a few seconds to answer these questions. Based on the
first question, I believe there were diversities of answers, but the truth is, we all have a building, and that building
is us because we are God’s building. 1 Corinthians
3:9b (GNT) – And you are God’s field. You are also God’s building. We
know that in every building, there is always someone who is the master planner,
think of it like an architect who has the plan of the building, and he/she is guiding
and supervising the building until it is completed. The same goes for us as
God’s building because we need someone to guide, supervise, and correct us
whenever there is an error in the plan, and that person is GOD. That is why I
asked the second question earlier because many, at times, people go to other
sources searching for a master planner, but all their effort is usually in vain
because except the Lord builds and keeps that building, the watchman’s effort is
all in vain. We need to realize this early and fast, so as not to struggle with
our building or plan.
The amazing part is that this great master planner, God, does not
sleep nor slumber; He already has the plans for our building even before we
were formed, and He is always with us even after we are done building. Psalms
121:4- Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. Jeremiah
1:5- Before I
formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the
womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. The watchman or the other planners will sleep and slumber at night,
and they plan based on what you tell them, but God already has the plan, and
His aim is for us to enjoy our building and have peace and sound sleep. All we
just need to do is to follow Him, and He will fight and remove all those
unwanted plans. Exodus 14:14- The Lord shall fight for you,
and ye shall hold your peace. I tell you, there is nothing greater than
this builder, so why don’t you allow Him today and stop toiling and labouring
in vain because your energy cannot keep the city glorious in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Thank you Lord because I am rooted and grounded in the Lord and I
will walk with ease with fruits to show, in Jesus name.
2. Father, please help us to continually build with the master so as
not to labour in vain, in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: It
is never too late to solidify in this great master planner.
