Text: Mathew
8:17 (KJV)
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by
Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our
sicknesses.
I heard a testimony of a sister who had a growth on her lap.
Miraculously, the growth busted with a lot of pus and bloody discharge, but the
amazing part is that the scar from the growth had disappeared by the following
morning. Isn’t God amazing? Hallelujah!!!
We live in a
world where we are all faced with different infirmities. These infirmities
might not be physical (like diabetes, hypertension, infertility, etc.), but it
can also be spiritual (like no growth in our spiritual life), emotional (like
depression), or even financial (like dryness of our finances or no growth in
our bank accounts). Our text of today tells us that God has taken any form of
infirmity out of our lives. Wow, isn’t
that amazing to hear? The scripture specifically used the word “OUR” that
means every one of us is included, so do not exempt yourself, because it is all
part of His promises to us. All we just need to do is to understand Him and the
technicality in His operations. I tell you His promises are sure, and they will
surely come to pass, you just need to trust and have faith in Him. The amazing
part is if God said he "TOOK” that means there is no residue because He
carried away those sicknesses from the root like in the testimony we saw
earlier. So live with this mindset and celebrate your freedom now. Luke 7:21- And in that same hour he cured many of their
infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he
gave sight. This means
that your testimony is happening now. Hallelujah!!!!
Many at times, illnesses come in
different ways. It might be as small as a runny nose or small headache, or it
might sometimes be how the person is feeling, but the medical equipment cannot
see it, but I am here to tell you not to give up because there is no illness
God cannot heal, no matter how small or big it may be. Even when we are
overwhelmed with health problems and hospitals have done all they know, we
should always remember our special supernatural help, which is the Word of God.
We should pray and declare the scriptures because this is a wonderful way to
focus on His promises and provisions. Hebrews 4:12- For
the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword,
piecing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and
marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. The
word of God locates the particular point of challenge where medical equipment
cannot find and it removes those infirmities from their roots, but I tell you always
return praise to the source of
your healing. Doing this makes your testimonies permanent. I pray God will help
you in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Oh Lord, help me to understand and comprehend your
promises, so as to avoid struggling on my covenant inheritances, in Jesus name.
2.Oh Lord,
please help me to focus on your WORD and not on the pain in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Pay attention to those concerns you have prayed
for because they have already been withered from their root.
