Your Labor or Your Favour

Text: Psalms 44:3 (KJV)

For they got not the land in possession in their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.

There are some achievements you donot fight to get but instead they come as a gift. Remember, it is not by your strength you got this far. Many have moved into houses they did not build, dwelt in land they did not labor for, enjoyed vineyards they did not plant, or have gotten jobs they were not qualified for, all these are done by genuine favour from GOD. When you look back and remember many of your colleagues and age mates who are far behind your status today, it can only be done by God. God does not only know your works, He also knows how you have worked and have made several efforts patiently, but until the Lord builds the house, your labor is all in vain or will have less results. Let’s allow the hand of God to translate our labor into favour. Our efforts are like manual labor which has a lot of limitations, but we need the favour of God to end all the frustration in our labor. The effort becomes enjoyable because of the scent of His presence and thisdistinguishes our labor from favour. You have labored enough and have gotten only a little, but it is time to throw the net to the creator who is the source and the channel of our blessings. Do not labor alone rather introduce the unlimited source at each phase of life. The merit and certification for favour is not by your labor. Favour is GOD’S SIGNATURE OF APPROVAL AND SUPPORT and this has yielded results, but remember that the finished work of Jesus on the cross qualifies us and not our works of righteous which we boost about. Don’t struggle for man’s favour rather go for God’s approval and man will align effortlessly. The attraction of favour is beyond the physical and this comes with every good thing which we enjoy today.

Ecclesiastes 9:11 - I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, not the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happened to them all. In modern times, we have found out that the fastest runners and the greatest heroes do not always win, but some people blame bad luck for what has happen to them. There are some unpredictable events which keep reoccurring, for instance, a qualified person without favour can be disqualified same as the most intelligent are not always the richest.  Labor can make great men of ability and experience to be turn down, therefore desire favour and you can get to any height.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Oh Lord, thank you for your outpour of favour upon me and my career which has taken me to my place of honor by your grace, in Jesus name.

2. Father, any area we are still frustrated by our efforts, may the oil of favour lubricate our endeavors, in Jesus name.

3. May God’s approval disqualify the man’s standard of nomination over our effort, in Jesus name.
