The God Who Remembers

Text: Genesis 8:1 (KJV)

And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged.

Friends, there are seasons when it feels as though your efforts are unnoticed, your prayers are unanswered, floods all over you and your situation seem forgotten. So, no matter how long the storm lasts, God has power over the waters as He divinely intervenes. Yes, such moments can make you question whether God is still mindful of you.  But the God who remembered Noah, will also remember you. Noah had spent a long season in the ark, surrounded by waters, waiting for the earth to become habitable again. Yet, in the middle of that uncertain season, God remained faithful to His purpose for Noah and his family. So that ugly situation can still change again. God is mindful of you, too. So your present season does not have to determine your future. God's faithfulness remains constant through changing circumstances. Hebrews 6:10 - For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Interestingly, when the Bible says God remembered Noah, it does not mean God had forgotten him. It communicates God's attention and His active intervention in fulfilling His purpose. The same God who sustained Noah through the flood was able to bring him into a new season. Exodus 2:24 - And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. Perhaps you are waiting for a change in your family, career, academics, ministry, or personal journey, do not assume that the silence of a season means the absence of God. God remains faithful even when you cannot see the evidence of what He is doing in any area of your life. I pray we shall remain more conscious of God's faithfulness, today in Jesus name

Prayer Point:

Father, thank You because You are mindful of me as you help me to remain confident in Your faithfulness, especially during uncertain seasons in Jesus name.

Action Quote: Friends, never mistake a quiet season for a forgotten life. But continue to trust His timely intervention.
