I Say “Yes” to God

Text: Isaiah 6:8(KJV)

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!

Friends, we must come to a point where our hearts are open, willing, and ready to receive divine instructions from our Heavenly Father. We see throughout Scriptures that God works powerfully through people who simply say “YES” to Him and yield to His will. Therefore, we must cultivate hearts that surrender in faith and demonstrate practical obedience to God's agenda. Remember, God does not call us to obey at a later time, nor does He expect delays, excuses, or negotiations when He gives instructions. A heart that says YES to God does not wait for perfect conditions; rather, it responds with absolute trust in God's wisdom and faithfulness. Consider Simon Peter, who said, “Nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net” (Luke 5:5). Also, Isaiah encountered God, and his willingness preceded his assignment. Therefore, let us develop hearts that are willing to respond to His next instruction today.

Remember, God is not primarily looking for ability but availability and wholehearted surrender. So, just say YES to God and He will equip you today. When God called Abraham, he obeyed without knowing his destination. His YES positioned him to become the father of many nations. So, can you say YES to God today and allow Him to direct your future? Psalm 40:8 declares, “I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.” Mary, the mother of Jesus, also demonstrated one of the clearest examples of a yielded heart when she responded to God's message through the angel, saying, “Be it unto me according to thy word” (Luke 1:38). Her willingness became part of God's extraordinary plan of redemption. Indeed, a yielded heart positions us to experience the fullness of God's purpose for our lives.

The exciting truth is that every genuine YES to God becomes an opportunity for spiritual growth, deeper fellowship with Him, and greater alignment with His divine purpose. We must understand that God is not looking for perfect people; He is looking for willing hearts that are ready to trust Him and obey His Word just as we say YES today in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

Oh Lord, align my heart with Your will. Remove every fear, doubt, and resistance within me, and give me the grace to obey You fully, willingly, and joyfully, in Jesus' name.

ACTION QUOTE: Remember, your YES to God today can change the course of your tomorrow.
