His Last-Minute Intervention

 

Text: John 11:21-23 (KJV)

Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.  But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee. Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.

Happy New Month of November. Friends, God can still show up for you even at the last minute. Yes, have you ever wondered why God sometimes appears to delay when you desperately need His intervention? For instance, Mary and Martha experienced this when their brother Lazarus became sick. They sent for Jesus, expecting Him to come immediately. However, Jesus did not arrive when they expected Him. By the time He got there, Lazarus had been buried. So, from a human perspective, the opportunity seemed to have passed. Martha even expressed her disappointment, saying that if Jesus had arrived earlier, her brother would not have died. The good news is that God is never late in a matter. Isaiah 60:22 - A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time. So, God has the power to change our situations suddenly and bring His promises to pass at His appointed time. When provision seems impossible, God can provide. Also, when there is no way forward, God can make a way. And when a situation appears irreversible, God can still change the outcome.

Amazingly, Jesus was not limited by the timing of their expectations. So, no matter how far the year has gone, He can still intervene in that issue of concern. Psalm 46:5 - God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. Remember, what appeared to be a delay became an opportunity for God's glory to be revealed on Lazarus case. Sometimes, we become so focused on when we want God to act that we overlook what He is capable of doing beyond our expectations. Hence, God's timing may not always agree with your schedule, but His ability is never limited by your circumstances. So, do not allow a delay to make you doubt God's power rather keep believing, and keep walking with Him even at this last minute and this 11^th hour month in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT: Father, help me to trust Your timing even when I do not understand what You are doing as I remain confident in Your power in Jesus name
