Ye Shall Seek Me

Text: Jeremiah 29:13 (KJV)

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Friends, seeking God should be more than an occasional activity as many engage Him when we need help. But we should look for Him, search for Him and we shall find Him. It should be a deliberate pursuit of His presence, wisdom, and will. Sometimes, people seek God only when they face difficulties, but when life becomes comfortable, their devotion weaken. Yet God desires a sincere relationship with us, one in which we seek Him wholeheartedly, not merely for what He can give us but because we desire to know Him. Matthew 6:33 says, But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Jesus teaches us to give God's kingdom priority in our lives. This means that our ambitions, and daily responsibilities should be guided by our desire to honour Him. So, let’s allow His wisdom to influence daily.

Amazingly, King David expressed his longing for God in Psalm 63:1: O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is. David understood the importance of desiring God's presence even in difficult circumstances. Similarly, Daniel maintained his habit of prayer despite the challenges he faced in Babylon, too. There is need for devotion, and a heart that remains focused on Him. Therefore, create time to pray, study the Scriptures, worship God, and reflect on His instructions. Do not allow busyness, distractions, or the pursuit of earthly achievements to take the place of your relationship with Him. When you need direction, seek His wisdom as we depend on Him. I pray our hearts remain hungry for His presence in Jesus' name.

Prayer Point: Father, give me a sincere and consistent desire to seek You with all my heart as You remove every distraction that weakens my devotion in Jesus' name.

Action Quote: Friends, make seeking God a daily priority, not merely an emergency response but be more deliberate to pursue Him.
