I will declare a testimony

 

Text: Psalm 66:16 (KJV)

“Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.”

Friends, every life has a story, and every season presents an opportunity to recognise God's faithfulness. We become so focused on our present struggles that we forget how far God has brought us. Yes, we remember the unanswered prayers but overlook the strength He has given us to endure. We focus on our disappointments and forget the moments when He provided, comforted, or helped us through difficult circumstances. Let’s learn to share personal experience of God's goodness so that others could hear and be encouraged. Psalm 107:2 - Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy. Your testimony does not have to begin with a dramatic miracle. It may be the story of how God gave you peace during uncertainty, strength, wisdom during a difficult decision, or courage to begin again after disappointment.  Psalm 118:17 - “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.”

Interestingly, in John 4:28–30, the Samaritan woman went into the city and told the people about her encounter with Jesus. Her experience became an opportunity for others to come and meet Him. Likewise, God can use the lessons you learn and the grace you experience to encourage others. Revelation 12:11- “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” However, a testimony is not about making yourself look perfect or suggesting that every difficulty has disappeared. It is about honestly acknowledging God's work in your life and giving Him the glory. Do not be ashamed of the difficult chapters of your story, but share them with wisdom, humility, and sensitivity. Your experience may give hope to someone. Keep trusting God, and allow your life to reflect His goodness that will point others towards Christ, in Jesus' name.

Prayer Point: Father, thank You for Your faithfulness in my life and teach me to recognise Your goodness, as I share my testimony with humility for Your glory in Jesus' name.
