Text: John 8:36 (KJV) If the Son therefore shall make you free,
ye shall be free indeed.
John 8:32 says, And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall
make you free
Friends, one of the greatest blessings of our relationship
with Jesus Christ is the freedom He gives us. Yes, a life of bondage can take
different forms, including slavery to sin, fear, destructive habits, deception,
and ways of thinking that oppose God's truth. Though many people desire freedom
but may struggle to experience it because they have not fully embraced the
liberty available through Christ. Jesus came to deliver us from the power of
sin and bring us into a new relationship with God. So you never be in
bondage. Therefore, freedom is connected
to knowing and continuing in God's truth. When we understand what Christ has
accomplished for us and learn to live according to His Word, we become better
equipped to reject sin and resist whatever seeks to control our lives. Galatians 5:1 declares, Stand fast therefore in the
liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the
yoke of bondage. So, guard your freedom in Christ
Amazingly, the Israelites were delivered from slavery in
Egypt, but they still needed to learn to trust and obey God as they journeyed
towards the Promised Land. Their experience reminds us that deliverance is not
the end of our journey; we must continue growing in faith and obedience. Romans 6:14 says, For sin shall not have dominion over
you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. Therefore, we should
depend on God's grace, renew our minds through His Word, and make choices that
reflect our new life in Christ, today. I pray we shall continue to walk in the
freedom Christ has given us in Jesus' name.
Prayer Point:
Father, thank You for the freedom I have through Jesus Christ.
Help me to stand firm in Your truth, overcome sinful habits You have provided
in Jesus' name.
Action Quote: Friends, Christ has called you into freedom so
stand firm in His truth, and refuse to return to the bondage He has delivered
you from.
