Planted by the Rivers of Living Water

 Happy New Month of September.

Text: Psalm 1:3 (KJV)

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season.

Friends, it is important we note that where we are planted determines the nourishment we enjoy in growth at favourable and unfavourable condition. So, being planted by the rivers of living water speaks of being firmly rooted in God. Hence, a tree planted near water has a constant source of nourishment, allowing it to remain strong and fruitful even when the environment around it becomes difficult. In the same way, God wants our lives to be deeply rooted in Him. Though, we may experience dry seasons, or delays, but when our strength comes from God, we do not have to wither under pressure because we are rooted in Him. My prayer is that your leaf shall remain green yielding fruits even in drought season. Jeremiah 17:7–8 - Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. 8 - For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

Amazingly, a planted tree does not need to move around searching for water because its roots are established where the source is. John 15:5 - I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. Therefore, do not keep looking everywhere for what only God can provide. But learn to stay rooted in His presence, in His Word, and in His promises. Remember, your fruit may not appear immediately, but when you remain planted in God, you will produce fruit in the right season in Jesus name.

Prayer Point:

Father, help me to remain deeply rooted in You, so that I will continue to grow and bear fruit in every season of my life in Jesus’ name.
