Remember Me, O Lord

Text: Psalm 106:4 (KJV)

Remember me, O LORD, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people: O visit me with thy salvation.

Friends, it is our heart desire to be remembered greatly by experiencing God's favour and divine intervention. The psalmist understood that when God remembers a person, situations can change, doors can open, and destinies can be transformed. Therefore, he cried out, "Remember me, O Lord." This was not because God had forgotten him, but because he longed to experience God's favour and mercy with His power in a fresh and personal way. Nehemiah 13:31b …Remember me, O my God, for good. As believers, we too should desire God's remembrance because His favour can accomplish what human effort cannot achieve. When God remembers a person, He brings restoration where there has been loss, promotion where there has been delay, and breakthrough where there has been stagnation. Psalm 30:5 declares, "For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life."

Interestingly, we have seen God remembering His people at critical moments. So, He will do same to you, today. Yes, God remembered Noah and caused the floodwaters to recede. He remembered Hannah and blessed her with Samuel after years of barrenness. He remembered Joseph in prison and elevated him to the palace. Also, in Luke 23:42-43 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise." These examples remind us that God's remembrance brings divine visitation and supernatural change. Even when circumstances seem unchanged, God's timing is always perfect. Therefore, let us remain faithful and prayerful as we build confidence in His promises. And I pray that the Lord will remember you and turn every delay into a blessing according to His perfect will, in Jesus' name.
