Text: Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee: yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Friends, fear is one of the enemy's most effective weapons against humanity. It seeks to paralyze all your faith, weaken confidence, and distract us from God's promises. Hence, fear magnifies problems and minimizes our perception of God's power. However, God's desire is not for His children to live under the control of fear but to rise above it through faith and trust in Him. Living above fear does not mean the absence of challenges; it means having confidence in God's presence and promises regardless of circumstances. Then, we become confident that God is working all things together for our good and that nothing can separate us from His love. Therefore, refuse to allow fear to dictate your decisions, limit your potential, or steal your peace. 2 Timothy 1:7 "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." Psalm 56:3-4 "What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me."
Interestingly, whenever God called His people into new seasons or difficult assignments, He often began with the words, "Fear not." This is because God knew that fear could hinder them from embracing His plans. For instance, Joshua received this encouragement when he was about to lead Israel into the Promised Land. Joshua 1:9 declares, "Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." Remember, God's presence is the antidote to fear. So, when we know He is with us, we can face uncertainty with courage and confidence. I pray fear will lose its power as we focus on God's faithfulness instead of our circumstances by trusting in God’s character, power and promises in Jesus name.
Prayer Point:
Abba father, deliver us from every spirit of fear and fill our hearts with peace as we trust completely in Your presence and promises, in Jesus' name.
Action Quote: Friends, fear will focus your attention on the size of the problem but faith focuses at the greatness and faithfulness of God. So, where do you focus?
