In His Presence

 

Text: Psalm 91:1 (KJV)
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Friends, one of the greatest privileges we have as believers is living continually in God’s presence. His presence is not just for worship moments but a spiritual dwelling place where we find strength, peace, protection, and direction. Hence, those who choose to stay in the secret place experience God as a refuge and covering in every season of life. So, as we stay close to Him, our strength is renewed and our lives are guided by His Spirit. Abiding in His presence requires intentional devotion through prayer, worship, and His Word. Moses understood this and refused to move without His presence. Exodus 33:15 And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence showing that success without God is empty.

Interestingly, Scripture shows that God’s presence is the difference-maker in the lives of His people.  It is important we recognize that we enjoy a lot of benefits as we dwell in His presence, because burdens are lifted and joy is restored. Psalm 16:11 - Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. This declares that there is fullness of joy and lasting pleasure in Him. So, let’s stay in Him as a lifestyle. Remember, no situation is too difficult for God’s presence to transform. We just have to wait on the Lord so that he shall renew our strength and rise us above limitations in life in Jesus name.

Prayer Point:

Oh Lord, draw us closer and help us to dwell continually in Your presence, where I find strength, peace, direction, and protection, in Jesus’ name.
