Text: Ezekiel 37:5 (KJV)
Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live.
Friends, after repeated disappointments, long delays, or painful experiences, it can lead one to a life of hopelessness. Hence, one can give up, assuming what you believed did not happen. But you are encouraged to believe again, because God is able to revive dead hope. What looks finished to man is never beyond God’s power to restore. Reviving dead hope is choosing to trust God even after discouragement. It is rising above past failures and believing that God can still bring life into lifeless situations. Like Abraham and Sarah dead hope become father and mother of nations. You can also see the story in the valley of dry bones in Ezekiel’s vision, it was a picture of total hopelessness, yet God spoke life into it. Ezekiel 37:9–10 – Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live… and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army. This shows that no situation is too dry or too far gone for God to restore.
Interestingly, hope is revived when you reconnect with God’s Word and begin to speak life again. When you choose to believe, even in small measures, God begins to work in ways you cannot see. Though you may have waited long, faced rejection, or experienced loss, do not settle in hopelessness. Joel 2:25 – And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. Yes, God is not only able to revive your hope but also to restore everything that seemed lost. Therefore, refuse to conclude that it is over. But, speak God’s promises with trust as you remain expectant. Then your dry season will turn into a testimony, and your hope will live again in Jesus’ name.
Prayer Points:
Oh Lord, breathe life into every area where our hope has died and restore our expectations in Jesus’ name.
Gracious Father, help us to believe again as we trust beyond past disappointments in Jesus’ name.Action Quote: Remember, what seems dead is not beyond God because His breath can bring your hope back to life.
