Text: James 1:17(KJV)
Every good
gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of
lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Friends, gratitude is a powerful posture of the
heart. Every good thing we have received - our strength, wisdom, opportunities,
and ideas, comes from God. So, when we pause to recognize the miracles and
privileges in our lives, we acknowledge that nothing we have achieved is by our
power alone. It is God who works in us and through us. The Psalmist reminds us
in Psalm 106:1 - Praise ye the Lord. O give thanks
unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. God has been faithful not only to us
but also to those who came before us. He guided our forefathers, sustained them
through many challenges, and has continued to show Himself strong on our behalf.
When we thank Him for our talents, we recognize Him as the true source of every
ability that we possess. Today, reflect on the bigger picture: God has
preserved you, guided you, and filled your life with gifts and opportunities.
Come before Him with a cheerful heart and continually say, “Thank You, Jesus.”
Interestingly, God is the source of our gifts to
our destiny. He reveals deep and hidden abilities as He brings light to areas
of our lives even the once that seem uncertain. In moments of pressure, stress,
and confusion, His sustaining grace keeps us standing. Be grateful. Remember
that God’s plans toward you remain good, and His gifts and calling are
irrevocable. Be grateful. Psalm 9:1 - I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole
heart; I will show forth all thy marvellous works. Choosing gratitude is
a daily decision. The more we cultivate a thankful heart, the easier it becomes
to see God’s hand in every detail of our lives. So, even in difficult moments,
gratitude shifts our focus from problems to God’s faithfulness. I pray we shall
live grateful for all in Jesus name
Prayer Points:
- Lord, give me a grateful heart that recognizes Your goodness in
every situation as acknowledge that every gift, idea, and
opportunity comes from You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
- Father, teach me to praise You continually. By replacing
complaints with thanksgiving and develop a lifestyle of gratitude every
day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action Quote: Remember, gratitude
turns ordinary moments into testimonies of God’s faithfulness.”
