Looking back with gratitude

Text: Psalm 103:1-2(KJV)

Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.

Congratulations. It is the LAST DAY of 2025

Friends, when we form the attitude of looking back by reflecting on His faithfulness, gratitude begins and becomes easy despite the size of God’s goodness. This allows us to see God’s mighty hands in those seasons of trials and challenges that we passed through. Yes, looking back with gratitude is a powerful force that deepens our dependence on God. Therefore, our hearts must be filled with thankfulness, hope, and renewed faith seeing the journey so far, this year. Hence, gratitude transforms our perspective on how we view things around us. Psalm 107:1 - O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth forever. This makes us to see the blessings all the year instead of pains, burdens, we see victories instead of failures, and divine provision instead of lack. As we give God thanks this last day of the year, it shifts our focus from problems to blessings and goodness of God, bringing peace and joy to crown our year despite the difficult times. Psalm 77:11- I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.

Interestingly, when we look back by keeping a gratitude journals that helps us record answered prayers, moments of God’s mercy, provision, and protection etc. Then, we can now express genuine thanks from a heart free of heaviness no matter the storm. Also, this helps us to continue to share testimonies that will help us celebrate the milestones in our growth on every side. Psalm 124:1–2 -If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say; If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us. So, let’s recall the grace of our God that we enjoyed as they will help us face the new challenges with courage in this season. I encourage us to remember the helps from the Lord all through the year as it strengthens our faith in God by reflecting on His faithfulness in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

Heavenly father, teach me to always respond with gratitude as an attitude and praise with dance that will keep me in joy continually in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE: Remember to use gratitude lifestyle to inspire confidence for the future victories.
