His Love Revealed

 

Text: Romans 5:8(KJV)

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Friends, the love of God was made manifest as Jesus revealed the Father’s heart through His life, compassion, sacrifice, and resurrection. Hence, God’s love is not hidden, neither is it conditional. But, Jesus Christ clearly expressed this love in a practical way as He was sent to save man. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. So, every healing, every act of forgiveness, and every word of grace pointed to a love that restores what was lost. His love is not just a spoken word rather it is demonstrated in all areas of our lives. This is seen as He unfolds His redemptive package through our saviour Jesus. His love is not based on our perfection at all because he demonstrated this love while we were yet sinners. His revealed love gives us confidence that we are saved, accepted, and secure in Christ Jesus. 1 John 4:9-10 - In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Amazingly, the gift of His dear Son reveals His mercy and compassion towards humanity. Therefore, there is a call to respond as we yield in faith, gratitude, obedience, and love, today. We are invited to live from that love, not striving to earn it but allowing it to transform us daily. Ephesians 2:4-5 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) The love of God is not something you chase because it came by mercy as already revealed but ours is to embrace it, live in it, and share it everywhere. Like the woman caught in adultery, His love was revealed that brought about mercy and total restoration. I encourage us to yield our hearts by His revealed love this season as to experience total freedom from quilt and shame in Jesus name.
