Text: Hebrew 3:15(KJV)
While it is said, today if ye will hear
his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
Friends,
God desires hearts that are soft before Him and not stubborn or defensive. Yes,
yielding does not mean weakness rather it means strength under God’s authority.
So, it is important that we are responsive, teachable and obedient to God. Ezekiel 36:26 - I will give you a new heart
and put a new spirit within you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and
give you a heart of flesh It requires that we listen when God speaks and
responds with humility of faith at all times. But a hardened heart resist God’s
voice and rejects his loving corrections. And this makes one not to be sensitive
to His leading. Hence, let’s examine
ourselves and the condition of our hearts with sincerity as God works through
the flow into our hearts. Proverb
28:14 Blessed is the one who always trembles before God, but whoever
hardens their heart falls into trouble.
Interestingly,
as believers we need a yielded heart that put her trusts in God even when the
path is unclear and obeys even when obedience is costly. This is possible as we
continue to journey with God in this kingdom. Proverb 4:23 - Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of
it are the issues of life. We
should guide against a hardened heart like Pharaoh who despite witnessing God's
mighty works he refused to yield to God’s command but King David though
imperfect maintained a yielded heart that will make him cry out in prayers
trusting God to create a clean heart in him. I pray we shall present a heart,
ready and soft towards God daily as we restore deep intimacy with God and joy
unspeakable in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
Father, pour upon us a humble and
contrite heart as You replace hardened heart with a new heart as to bear
lasting fruit in Jesus name
ACTION QUOTE: Remember, God promises great blessings to those
who remain tender in heart before Him.
