Text: Hebrew
4:16(KJV)
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of
grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need
Friends, just like the earth has its earthly
throne, much more than that we have a heaven throne of grace. The earth has its
own kingdom where the king rule with terror and condemnation. But, the throne
of grace is ruled with mercy and love. Then,
our spiritual kingdom has our forgiving father as the king of kings who rules
and is sovereign in the affairs of man. Today, we have access to throne as He
is approachable. Hence, the throne of God is described with grace which
qualifies for favour and unmerited mercy. So, instead of judgment we find
forgiveness and love with ceaseless help in time of need. Psalm 103:8 The
Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. This
throne is our place of prayer and walk of intimacy as we commune with our
father. This is made possible through our Lord Jesus who is interceding for us
as our High Priest. Cheer up, there is grace for yesterday, strength for today,
and hope for tomorrow. Lamentation 3:22-23 It is of the
LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They
are new every morning: great is thy faithfulnes
Amazingly, we can access Him confidently as we
approach the throne of grace with boldness. Thus, we now put on the
righteousness of Jesus as our garment. Ephesians 2:18 For through
him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. This throne
is our source of mercy and kindness for past failures and grace for present and
future needs. Remember, it
is a place of our renewed strength. So, let’s embrace the throne of God’s grace
today which is a gift for all and enjoy the fullness of His inheritance in
Jesus name
PRAYER POINT:
Heavenly Father, may your mercy cover our failures, and may your grace
empower us to stand, endure, and overcome life challenges as we come before you
in prayer today in Jesus name.
