Text: Ephesians
3:17(KJV)
That Christ may dwell in
your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love.
Friends, the pressure of life have brought about
wavering believers who is never rooted in Christ. But, we can grow into
stability and strength as to pull through the challenges of our time. We can’t
remain as shallow believers. Rather, we need to be built up in Christ and
remain therein as to stand firm with Christ in life. We have to learn to draw
nourishment, life and strength from God alone as to stand the trials and
temptations without being uprooted from faith. Colossians
2:7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been
taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. However, we meet oppositions daily, but a
grounded believer is able to stand, unmovable even gain maturity for a
testimony in time of trouble. So, we can build on a firm foundation today as the
tree draws energy from its root. And our root is Jesus, the root of Jesse.
Interestingly, we can develop a deep relationship
with God which makes us to be rooted and grounded today. Therefore, to bear
fruits that will abide with the taste of time, we have to be deeply rooted and
grounded in faith like the tree planted by the river side. Jere 17:7-8 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord,
and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters,
and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat
cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of
drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. Remember, there
are so many things that can sway us as heat in life and shift one from the
doctrine of Jesus. But, let’s watch and pray to avoid misfit and fall into
ultimate destruction. I pray we consistently draw from the place of prayer, the
word and the Holy Spirit as to be firm with unshakable faith this season in
Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
Father, help us to live in a stable Christian life as
we take in the word that helps our connection with Jesus on daily basis in
Jesus name.
