Be Strong in Him

Text: Joshua 1:9(KJV)

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go

Friends, we live in life where we are faced with life challenges that gives no preparation nor signal, rather meets you without a schedule. Hence, we must learn to be strong inside and out as to face the day of adversity. Yes, there are situations that shows up to test our faith and patience in God but we must build capacity for the uncertainties. Unfortunately, majority of us get overwhelmed in such a moment which is not a proof strength. Proverb 24:10 If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small. It is not a time to be afraid as He commanded Joshua from the scripture above to be strong.  Fear is always a torment, so, do not entertain it. Ephesians 6:10 – "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.

Interestingly, the real strength in life does not come from knowledge, wealth or your physical ability rather the sustainable energy comes from our trust in the capacity of our God.  Remember, the strength of the hill will never fail us at that difficult moment even as He showed up with Daniel and friends in the furnace. So, the actual strength is to remember in the face of the storm that we have an anchor and that God is our stronghold in life as the light of our salvation. And it is possible to build faith as a display of confidence in the promise of the word of God. 2 Corinthians 12:9 – "But He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.  We must not look at our size or the weapon with us because they will disappoint you. Remember, God’s strength is made perfect in your weakness. So, our God will never fail us, if only we can stand firm with God and not alone in that battle today. So, be strong and courageous in Jesus name.

 PRAYER POINT:

1. Father, help me to surrender the battles of my life to the strength of God and not my little energy by obeying the command to be strong in the Lord in Jesus name
