Text: Isaiah 44:3-4 (KJV)
For
I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I
will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring: And
they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses.
Friends, we need a strong desire and crave for God in a time like
this. It is a level where we are consumed with yearning and longing for the
knowledge of Him. Yes, God expects us to pant after His will and an intimate
relationship that brings about result effortlessly. Therefore, we must
recognize that God is interested for us to be nourished as we are like that
tree planted by the riverside. Psalm 42:1-2 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after
thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living
God: when shall I come and appear before God? We
must therefore get to that point of extreme thirst, where we are sold out for
God and panting for the living God. We cannot survive without this water of
life as Jesus is that living water. Remember, it is only Jesus that can truly
satisfy no matter the pleasures of life.
Amazingly, physical thirst is powerful but the greatest of them
all is the spiritual thirst because our soul were created to be in constant
communion with God. John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly
shall flow rivers of living water. So, do not drift away from His presence, if
not, we shall go empty with dryness that will waste out destiny. Remember, God is a good shepherd and so, does
not want to live us as dry ground so, we need his spirit as His seed to bring
forth blessings at all times. Yes, he takes
us from emptiness to floods and overflow of His presence that brings about
endless testimony. And until His spirit
is poured we should not expect springing up as grasses. I pray for a yielded
soul today in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
1. Father, may we thirst for the spirit
of God that brings life to every situation in our lives in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Remember to draw closer to Jesus as to quench that thirsty soul
for a refreshment
