THANKSGIVING prayer as a weapon

 

Text: Psalm 92:1-2(KJV)

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High: ² To shew forth thy loving kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night.

Friends, as we appreciate things, it opens doors you did work for. The good news is that thanksgiving is a password we need to enter and it is an exit pass for any new height. However, thanksgiving acknowledges God as the doer and opens us to more of God. Hence, we must be intentional to give God all the glory. In fact, all the good that we see today was given to us by grace and we owe God the thanks before they turn to become a disgrace. Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We have to learn how to engage the power of thanksgiving for the several privileges that we have today. We have to thank God in anticipation of His perfection because it is a weapon of answers for the intangible. So, you have to identify reasons to be grateful in life because if you don’t think you can’t thank. So, as we thank God, we receive open cheque for more. Habakkuk 3:18 Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation Therefore, let our attitude show appreciation as we express it in our heart because it cannot be hidden. Hence, we can do it in words, songs, praise, worship etc as it is an avenue we use to return glory to the king of kings.

Interestingly, as we hand all over to God, He takes over the battle which is more than us.  1 Thes.5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. We are transferring this generational challenges to the almighty.  Let’s thank God for His wondrous works as His goodness is endless even to this generation. Thanksgiving makes us to see more of God’s hand by His divine intervention. In addition, thanksgiving provokes the rain of more blessings and wholeness in all ramification of life. And I pray we shall genuinely come before God with a sincere heart of thanks today in Jesus name.

1. Father, we are grateful for the life and preservation of God’s goodness upon this generation and in this season in Jesus name.
