Text: Psalm. 150:1-3 (KJV)
Praise ye
the Lord. Praise God in his
sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise
him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise
him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.
Friends, we are honouring God with thanks as a way to acknowledge
our dependence to the almighty. It
humbles us, as our heart yields in worship to God which builds trust to hold on to God for more. It
is an important time of our lives when we express gratitude and Joy for all. We
have several reasons to be thankful and cheerful. Luke
17:15-17 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with
a loud voice glorified God,16 And fell down on his face
at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.17 And
Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? It
is not a time to seek something new but constantly appreciate God’s
faithfulness in all our endeavours as to enjoy wholeness. It is the joy of
thanksgiving that remains with us as a fruits of rejoicing. Therefore, giving
thanks is to show that God is the source of all and we do it with a joyful
heart. And this is what provokes us to share blessings and gifts to others.
Interestingly,
we are to praise Him in dance because we are not labouring in vain but He is
building us up as a generation. So, this joy brings about career, emotional and
spiritual growths with endless strength in our inner man. Hence, let everything
that has breath praise the Lord for his mighty acts and excellent greatness. Psalm 148: 13 Let them praise the name of the Lord: for his
name alone is excellent: his glory is above the earth and heaven. We must thank God with our all and in every
place with sounds and instruments of worship. And I pray, we shall praise God
even in the height of our lives in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
1. Oh Lord,
beautify us with meekness in thanksgiving as the Lord takes pleasure in his
people in Jesus name.
