Text: John 14:15 (KJV)
If you love me, keep my
commandment.
Deut 4:4-6 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:5 And
thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine
heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.6 And
these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
Friends, we owe divinity a
responsibility to obedience and submission as to enjoy the benefits of this
kingdom. It is a word that is constantly
reminding us our commitment to God and this is what gets to the heart of our
problems. We therefore have a responsibility to obey God in the sovereignty of
His majesty. And there is no holiness in our lives if we do not obey Him. Obedience is the road to a life fulfillment. John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he
it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I
will love him, and will manifest myself to him. Unfortunately over the years we have developed
a habitual pattern of disobedience. So, we must take a decision to drop off
such life patterns that keep us out of what God has ordained for our lives
today. There is much to what God has ordained for us but we have been limited
in our destiny by this life of disobedience.
Amazingly, we must reinforce a new
pattern that will keep us committed to right living. Hence, to break old negative habits, we must
take a decision to get committed into a new habit that will transform us inside
and outside. By so doing, you make it an
arm, a goal and a passion for this new choice of life. God cannot do that for
us. We must take the responsibility by ourselves. But the responsibility of the
believer is by yielding to or cooperate the power of the Holy Spirit. Rom 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but
if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. This will help us to pull down the strength of sin that tries
to reign in our bodies. I pray we shall submit our lives to the presence and
dictates of the Holy Spirit going forward in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
Father, help us to walk in partnership with the Holy Spirit
who gives power and strength to our efforts in Jesus name
ACTION QUOTE: Remember,
changes start with a pure heart.
